Google is sunsetting Fabric, pushes developers towards Firebase
Google is on a kill streak. 2019 is going to be the year when they will drop a couple of services. Just two days ago, Google announced that Inbox will stop working by the date mentioned above. We are also learning that Fabric, the application development tool, will be following Inbox’s lead. Fabric’s tools have been integrated into Firebase, a process which has been ongoing for some time. By early 2019, Google wants developers to have transitioned from Fabric, and by mid-2019, they will sunset the old development platform.
To refresh your memory, Google owns both development platforms. Fabric was launched in 2014 by Twitter and later bought by Google in January of 2017. Google already owned the competing platform, Firebase, which they acquired in October of 2014. The goal has been to merge these two developer platforms for a while now to give mobile developers the best experience possible with the best tools from both platforms. Tools like Crashlytics, FCM, Remote Config, Firebase In-App Messaging, and more make the lives of Android app developers much easier. Google has ensured developers that Firebase has all the goodies that Fabric featured, and will continue to grow with features like ML Kit, Cloud Firestore, and more.
Migrating from Fabric to Firebase
The deadline to switch platforms is sometime in mid-2019, but Google recommends switching right away. Migrating from Fabric to Firebase is fairly easy. Just go to your Fabric dashboard, look for the Firebase option on the left-hand side, and follow the instructions. You can go to this link to start the migration process as well.
By early 2019, you’ll be able to install the new version of Crashlytics SDK and try Crashlytics Beta. The merging of the two competing development platforms was inevitable. There’s not much point in being upset by the move as Firebase includes everything Fabric did and much more. Plus, you have plenty of time to make the transition.

Razer is expected to unveil its second phone on October 10th
Razer sent out invitations today for an October 10th event where it’s expected to unveil its Razer Phone 2. The invite doesn’t say as much, but the company noted in a financial report last month that it was working on a follow up to its Razer Phone and some reported images of the new phone leaked earlier this week. If it is launching its latest gaming-geared smartphone, it’s doing so just one day after Google reveals its newest Pixel phones and a day before Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy event. That’s a lot of phones in one week. But don’t forget, there’s also a Microsoft Surface event, a Huawei launch and likely a OnePlus debut in October as well. Hope you’re ready for a lot of new gadgets.
iPhone “Xs” or iPhone “XS”? Capitalize or Don’t Capitalize?
Apple’s latest iPhones have brought a unique and somewhat controversial naming strategy. While some might not be fond of the iPhone lineup’s new names, they are here to stay. And with that being said, we should make sure that we’re doing our due diligence to write iPhone model names in their correct style. Should the S and R in iPhone XS and XR be capitalized?
iPhone XS Official Style Guide
According to PR representative Michele Wyman at Apple, the names of the latest iPhones should be written as shown below. When writing iPhone XS, XS Max, or XR, authors should not use lowercase letters, even though Apple’s own website seems to contradict this rule in various texts.

Notice capital letters can be substituted for special characters. Even better yet, copy and paste iPhone model names with their official stylistic Unicode characters.

Auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is going on all over India and people are in full enthusiasm and zest to celebrate Ganpati Bappa’s day which stays maximum for 7 days. People came together and placed Lord Ganesh in their houses or at their societies. These 7 days, you can see people enjoying, dancing, singing, playing altogether. If happiness has a definition then this festive can define it. In Mumbai, Ganpati celebration is celebrated at another level.
Recently, Bollywood actor Anupam Kher celebrated this festival in African continent Uganda.
Anupam Kher shared a video taking to his social media where people are celebrating in Uganda’s Entebbe for the Hindu festival of Lord Ganesha. Natives can be seen zestfully taking part in the festival and playing drums singing along with the slogan ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’.
Sharing the video on his Instagram Official, Anupam Kher wrote, “This is MAGICAL. Shree Ganesh Temple in Entebbe, Uganda celebrates #GaneshUtsav with the chants of #GanpatiBappaMorya. Listen to the sound of drums and the expressions on the faces of the people who are playing them. #GanpatiBappaMorya #VibesAndEnergy”.

There are a few videos and pictures from the PM Manmohan Singh’s Biopic have been surfaced on the internet and they took the nation with a storm seeing Anupam’s transformations and how he skins in the character of Dr. Singh. Alongside Kher, Arjun Mathur, Ahana Kumra, German actress Suzanne Bernert, Divya Seth, and Akshay Khanna will also be seen in the film The Accidental Prime Minister, playing prominent roles of Congress’s politicians.
