UMi Diamond is passed through a Drop Test & it survives – Video & Giveaway
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer UMi launched a new smartphone called the UMi diamond. One thing which the company stresses about this smartphone is how tough it is. In fact, the smartphone is named after Diamond, and they emphasized how tough the device just like a piece of diamond. Well, all that is fine, but the true strength can be determined only when it is put through the test, and that is exactly what we have today.
The UMi diamond is not only tough, but it also has a clean and classy design. One of the main focus being resistance, the device comes with scratch-resistant and shock-resistant protection build. Also, the materials used for the metal frame and the back cover help to reduce the damage caused by random impacts, helping to preserve the functioning of the phone. UMi performed some real-life drop tests at 1.2 and 1.5 meters, to simulate those bad drops that may happen when pulling out the phone from the pocket or from the bag while in the street. As the video shows, the UMi Diamond survives the two side drops and the flat screen one without any issues. Even after those drops, the phone is fully working and has taken no damage to its vital parts, thanks to the combination of a strong metal frame, a resistant polycarbonate back cover, and the patented Dual T2X-1 glass.
