Ashish Kapoor returns to TV with &TV’s Waaris
Handsome hunk Ashish Kapoor, who rose to great heights of popularity with his acting chops in shows like Dekha Ek Khwaab, Saat Phere, Behenein and Saraswatichandra, is set to return to TV.
We have exclusive information that Ashish has been signed to play the lead role in &TV’s Waaris (Viniyard Films).
Shares a source, “Ashish will enter the show as Jay, who will be paired opposite Aarti Singh’s character Amba. Furthermore, their love story will develop which will bring interesting twist and turns in the storyline.”
Audience is already aware that Manu (Saniya Touqeer) has been trying to find out the real culprit behind Deena’s (Sucheta Shivkumar) death. However, he will get trapped in Sushila’s (Bhavna Balsaver) plan and get arrested.
In the upcoming episode, Manu will be jailed, which will come as a shocker to Amba (Aarti Singh). She will be left traumatised and lose her memory. Here, Ashish’s character Jay will enter her life, adding new spice.
Jay will be a colourful personality, akin to Bunty from the movie Bunty Aur Babli. He will be positive and live life to the fullest.
For the uninitiated, Iqbal Khan was the lead hero in the show, but his stint was short lived, creating a void in the casting structure. With Ashish, the creatives intend to put wheels to the plot.
Ashish and Producer Ashvini Yardi remained unavailable for a comment.
