1 GB data per day for postpaid users in Idea Cellular with new 199 pack
Idea Cellular, one of the leading telecom operators in India, has started offering 1 GB data per day to postpaid customers on limited rental plans of Rs 199 and above. The users with 4G handsets will get 1 GB per day and non 4G users opting for the plan will get 3 GB data per month.
The new postpaid pack priced at Rs 300 is being offered for free on rental plans of Rs 499 and above. The telco is giving the pack at a discounted rate of Rs 50 to customers on base rental plans of Rs 349 to Rs 498. The discount is available for the first three months of subscription.
The users can subscribe to the new pack till April 30 and avail discount of up to Rs 300 for the first three months of subscription.
“This is a first of its kind offer with such a huge benefit to a large base of postpaid customers in India. The package has been designed to catalyse data usage amongst existing customers and to attract more postpaid customers to the Idea network,” said Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Idea Cellular.
Vodafone, India’s second largest telecom provider is gifting 24GB data to its post paid subscribers. The users will get the data in a monthly instalment of 8GB over the period of three months.
Recently, Airtel had announced that it would provide 30GB free 4G data for three months. State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd has also said it will offer 1 GB of free data to smartphone users who have a BSNL connection but are not using the company’s data services.
