OxygenOS Open Beta 6 update for OnePlus 3T from One Plus
The previous update OxygenOS Open Beta 5 primarily focused on bug fixes. The latest update brings a slew of changes in appearance with the UI of native apps on the OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3, and bug fixes as well.

To start with, the dialer and incoming call interference will be changed with the new OxygenOS update. Users can now swipe down to answer incoming calls and swipe down to reject. This update will also bring a refreshed UI to Messages, Settings, and Contacts. Messages and Settings on the OnePlus 3T and the OnePlus 3 also get a new action bar. This action bar will be collapsible and expandable as well. OnePlus says that more customizations on the action bar will be rolled out in the future.
With this update, OnePlus has optimized the notifications system which alerts when the apps are using a lot of battery. In addition to this, the update brings Bluetooth optimizations and Night mode optimizations, along with bug fixes. Note that this update is only for users who have flashed an Open Beta who will receive it as an over-the-air (OTA) update.
For those who wish to switch to the Open Beta platform can do so by heading over to the official website of OnePlus. However switching back to the stable will require users to factory reset their smartphone thereby erasing all existing data. As seen before, OnePlus has also shared links for feedbacks on the latest UI changes given through the update.

The OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Optic AMOLED display protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4. The OnePlus 3 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragn 820 quad-core processor whereas the OnePlus 3T runs the Snapdragon 821 quad-core SoC. In terms of memory, both the smartphones come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage.
In the photography department, the OnePlus 3 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, OIS and EIS. Up front the smartphone houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera. On the OnePlus 3T, the rear camera remains the same but the selfie camera is amped up with a 16-megapixel sensor featuring f/2.0 aperture, EIS and PDAF. For power, the OnePlus 3 uses a 3,000mAh battery while the OnePlus uses a bigger 3,400mAh battery. The flagships are both equipped with the company’s Dash Charge technology.
Connectivity options on the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T include dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C. The OnePlus 3 comes with 4G LTE support and the 3T comes with 4G VoLTE support as well. On the software front, both the smartphones run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box but have received Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
