Simple trick in new iOS freezes iPhone
THERE’S an iPhone bug sweeping smartphone owners’ back pockets.
Gadget fans have found a way to freeze Apple devices by simply pressing a few buttons.
It’s set to be a big year for Apple fans, because this year marks the 10th anniversary of the first iPhone and heralds the much anticipated iPhone 8.
But they’ll have to tackle this little problem first, if they want to keep customers happy.
The cheeky trick was first reported by tech publication BGR under the headline: “This bug will freeze your iPhone if you’re dumb enough to try”.
If you really want to annoy your mates, all you need to do is bring up the control centre screen by swiping from the bottom of the screen.
Tap simultaneously on three menu options and it should render the iPhone totally useless.
It appears the issue is only with phones that have been updated to iOS 10.

For now, Apple hasn’t issued a fix for the latest glitch, but it’s been reported to only last for a couple minutes.
It’s not the first annoying bug capable of putting your iPhone into a meltdown.
Back in 2015 Apple suffered embarrassment when an iOS bug caused Messages to crash and iPhones to reboot when a certain text was received.
