Bangladesh cricketer Abdur Razzak and family sustained injuries in a road accident in Kashiani area of Gopalganj district en route to Dhaka, after celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr at Bagherghat.
According to Hindustan Times, Fellow teammate and Bangladesh Test captain took to Facebook to break the news. His post read, "Our very own Razzak Raz bhai had a severe accident on his way from Khulna. I request you all to pray for him please!!!"
The car in which they were travelling skidded off the road on Dhaka-Khulna highway after one of the tyres burst. Razzak's wife Ishrat Jahan Oni, two-year-old infant son Adian, his sister and two nieces were travelling in the vehicle.
Abdur Razzak, considered as one of the best bowlers in Bangladesh is the first Bangladeshi to take 200 wickets in ODI. He debuted against Hong Kong in July 2004 after being called into the Bangladesh national team for the Asia Cup One Day International tournament.
Razzak made his Test debut in the second Test of the Australian tour of Bangladesh in April 2006. Though he has played just nine Tests, he has been more successful in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and is Bangladesh's leading wicket-taker in the format.
Abdur Razzak has played 153 ODIs and 34 T20Is for Bangladesh and holds the record for the fastest half-century for Bangladesh during an ODI against Zimbabwe, which came off just 22 balls.
Furthermore, Razzak became the first Bangladeshi cricketer to be bought in the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
