Tamil hit 'Sandakozhi' gets a grand sequel
Sandakozhi, which starred Vishal as the male lead and was directed by N Linguswamy, was a runaway hit upon its release in 2005. Now, PEN India Ltd is all set to make a sequel to the Tamil blockbuster.
While the original featured Meera Jasmin, Lal and Raj Kiran, the sequel will undergo a change in the cast. Kirti Suresh has been roped in to play the female lead. The film will also star Varalakshmi Sharathkumar and Raj Kiran in pivotal roles. Lead actor Vishal reprises his role in the second instalment.
Jayantilal Gada and Tamil film director N Linguswamy
Vishal, who clocks his 25th film with Sandakozhi 2, has joined hands with Jayantilal Gada of PEN India Ltd. to co-produce the drama under his banner, Vishal Film Factory.
The sequel is set to go on floors by the end of August. Much like the original, Sandakozhi 2 will be mounted on a grand scale and have high-octane action sequences.
