Star India win the media rights to Indian Premier League for next 5 years
During the IPL media rights bid on Monday, Star India was the highest bidder at Rs. 16,347.50 crore followed by Sony who bid Rs. 11,050 crore.
The combined bid for IPL media rights was a total of Rs 15,819.54 crore.
Interestingly, social media giant Facebook emerged as the third highest bidder for digital content at Rs 3,900 crore.
