Michael Clarke, David Warner's emotional birthday wish for Phil Hughes
Former Australia captain Michael Clarke sent out an emotional birthday wish to late teammate Phillip Hughes on social media yesterday. Hughes, who played 26 Tests, died in November 2014 after he was hit on the neck by a rising ball during a domestic match in Sydney. He would have turned 28 yesterday, and Clarke posted this picture of his daughter Kelsey Lee, holding a candle with a photograph of Hughes on it.
"Happy Birthday, Uncle Phillip," Clarke captioned the picture. Australia opener David Warner also wished late Hughesy. "Happy birthday, little man," wrote Warner alongside a picture that read: "May the angels sing to you the most joyous of chorus of Happy Birthday today. Rest peacefully"
