The end of the year is dangerously close, but that doesn’t mean an end to great new games being added to the Android catalog. Here we attempt to create a selection of the best and most notable games released in the month of November. It runs the gamut, including a unique kind of soccer game, minesweeping in dungeons, and the most addictive PVP games of the month.

Mad Dogs

It can be difficult to separate the good from the bad in Freemium titles. There are thousands of mediocre turned based RPGs, but Mad Dogs manages to shine amongst the muck. Gang fights, excellent 3D isometric graphics, and a square based movement system make it the cream of the crop. If a fan of the genre found this game on PC, they’d gladly pay $15 for it. But it’s free. [Download]

The Tower Assassin’s Creed

Ketchapp is a prolific studio specialized in launching devilishly difficult skill based minigames. They were recently acquired by the behemoth Ubisoft, so it was just a matter of time before one of their new owner’s lucrative licenses made its way into their line of games. In this case, it’s an adaptation of their game The Tower with characters you’ll recognizes from the Assassin’s Creed saga. [Download]

Warfair

It seems like nowadays all you see are clones of Clash Royale, but Warfair manages to carve its own niche in the Android catalog thanks to a few unique features. It’s set in a Starcraft-esque world of the future, and the gameplay is a unique mix of turned based and real time strategy. If you’re looking for an online PVP experience where strategy plays a much bigger role in determining the victor, Warfair is your game. [Download]

PES Card Collection

Not all soccer games have to be copies of previous titles, and PES Card Collection is a fine example of this. The game takes away the controls you’re used to, and makes you a spectator of the incredible matches. Your job is to compose a team of high level cards that are attained after each victory. It might sound boring at first, but once you’re in the action you’ll surely have a great time. [Download]

Lineage 2: Revolution

Although the version for the Asian market has been available for a few months, Lineage 2: Revolution has just launched internationally a few days ago, with servers for each geographical area. An unbelievable amount of players have returned to the continuation of the classic PC MMORPG on Android. We’ve already talked about the game at great length on this blog, even making a short tutorial for how to run it on an emulator on Windows. [Download]

Runestone Keeper

Dungeon crawling like you’ve never seen before. The game is arriving a few years late on Android, but it was worth the wait. This excellent version of minesweeper in a medieval fantasy setting has you searching for treasure while dispatching of the forces of evil that stand in your way. There is a lot to do in the game, and it’s really addictive. [Download]

Medals of War

Oh no, another Clash Royale… don’t trick yourself into comparing everything with Supercell’s hit game. Although Medals of War definitely draws inspiration from it, it provides an interesting and exciting experience. The addition of control points in the center of the battlefield is a big strategic boost that most of its competitors don’t have. Nimble fingers are needed to succeed in this intense combat game. Sengoku Samurai

Bringing the vast Total War saga to the Android ecosystem doesn’t seem like a trivial task, but Sengoku Samurai succeeds in providing a very similar experience. Granted, it’s been adapted to the norms of smartphone and tablet gaming. With the Japanese Sengoku period as a backdrop, this RTS game will put your feet to the flame in massive battles with a wide variety of troops to lead to victory. [Download]

Sacrifices

God games are a subgenre of strategy management games that have had some excellent examples in the past. Sacrifices makes you the god of a pre-Columbian civilization whose highest form of worship is sacrificing a villager from time to time. [Download]

Dragon Raja

It’s remarkable just how many third person RPGs are released on Android. There is a saturation in the market that will likely bust, but from time to time one of these games deserves special mention. One such game is Dragon Raja, which takes place in the usual world of swords and witchcraft, but with a compelling story and an entertaining combat system. [Download]
