Ever been stranded on a trip to a remote island or had an adventure in the mountains of Ladakh? Share your travel experiences at Explor, the first open mic for travellers to be held this weekend. "Nowadays, there are various poetry and stand-up comedy open mics but nothing exists for travellers. We wanted people to come together on a Sunday afternoon and share their mind-blowing experiences," says Rishi Shah, founder, Mumbai Riders, who is organising the event with Mulchand Dedhia of Photo Konnect.
Ananya Mody will speak about a farm in California she volunteered at
The open mic will feature 15 travellers, who will get a four-minute slot each. "We've received an overwhelming response where people are keen to share their stories on trekking and taking road trips across South Asia. There's no theme but the story has to be exciting," says Shah.
The duo has also curated a list of avid travellers, who will be guest speakers at the event. These include travel blogger Divyakshi Gupta, fitness enthusiast and traveller Shibani Gharat and Ananya Mody, who will share her experience of volunteering for three weeks at a farm in California while she was studying chartered accountancy. "Based on the response, we hope to make this a monthly feature."
